Privacy notice

This explains what we collect when you send us an enquiry, why we need it, how long we keep it and who else sees it. If anything here isn't clear, email us and we'll answer plainly.

Who we are

MCN Painting Contracts Ltd is the data controller for the information you send us.

What we collect

• Your contact details — name, email address, and phone number if you give one
• Details about the property — postcode, property type, the rooms involved, what you need doing and when
• Photographs of the property, if you choose to send them

Why we need it

To prepare a quotation and get back to you. That's it. We don't sell your details, we don't share them for marketing, and we won't add you to a mailing list.

Our lawful basis

Consent — for the photographs. You tick the box before you send them, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us.

Legitimate interest — for your contact and property details. You've asked us for a price, and we can't give you one without them.

How long we keep it

• Photographs are deleted after 90 days
• Enquiry records are kept for 24 months, then deleted

If you become a customer, the job records are kept longer for accounting and guarantee purposes.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of suppliers to run the site. Each only handles what it needs to:

• Supabase — stores the enquiry and the photographs, in the EU region. The photo storage is private; nobody can reach a photograph by guessing a web address
• Resend — sends the notification email to us when an enquiry arrives
• Calendly — handles booking the video call, if you use it
• Vercel — hosts the website and counts visits. No cookies, and nothing that identifies you personally

Nobody else. We don't pass your details to other trades, lead-generation companies or advertisers.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct anything wrong, delete it, or stop using it. Email us and we'll deal with it within a month, usually much sooner.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
